of the Lapon crew partying hard in Haakonsvern Naval Base,
Bergen, Norway after we got back from the pole. Things
were so expensive in Norway that the base took pity on
us poor American sailors and opened their bar for us on
base (Corvetten Klub). The people in the picture are,
from the left: Lt. Miller, MM3 Neff, FTG1 Bob Emry, HMC
"Doc" Mills, the "Chop" (Ensign Supply Corps... his name
escapes me now), and RM1 Bill Cronin. I was behind the
camera.

1988 when our Low Pressure Blower had big problems, so
we pulled into Holy Loch to get it fixed.

As you can see, we had votes for "rent-a-crank" and I proudly promoted Lt. Giessner ... but he took me down with him and I ended up cranking too. As always, it was loads of fun.
